This is built for you, if

01

You run the shop yourself, or with a mate or two. You do not have an afternoon for a 200 euro training session.

02

Your phone is always in your pocket. Your hands are often dirty. Every tap has to work even after you have picked up the oil rag.

03

You know what a mess paperwork is when the tax office calls. You know the feeling when a customer asks last month's price and you cannot remember.

Does any of this sound familiar?

  1. 1

A customer calls to ask when you last changed their timing belt. You dig through a paper folder in the back drawer.

  2. 2

End of the day, you sit another hour, because the invoices still need to be typed into Excel.

  3. 3

End of the month, you do not know if you came out plus or minus, until your accountant tells you a week later.

  4. 4

Mati calls. Which Mati. Right, the Golf from last month. Which Golf.

  5. 5

You want to give a regular a small discount, but you cannot remember what you charged them last time.

What changes when you stop using paper

We do not compete with the big shop platforms. We compete with the notebook in your back pocket.

What is in the app

Today's schedule view

Today's schedule, at a glance

See who is coming in. Long-press an empty slot to book straight from the calendar. Reschedule by drag. No double bookings, no missed customers.

Vehicles list view

Every car, every owner, remembered

Plate, VIN, mileage, owner, last service, next due, full history. All on one screen. Search by plate, by phone, by name. Open a customer's history with one tap.

Invoice draft view

An invoice in 30 seconds

Build a draft, add lines from your saved jobs, confirm. The PDF carries your logo, your tax rate, your company details. Send by SMS, email, or WhatsApp. The customer gets a clean document, you get a record the tax office accepts.

Monthly reports view

Know what you made, without Excel

Hero numbers for the month: revenue, invoices, hours. End-of-day wrap-up in two taps. No formulas, no pivot tables, no waiting for the accountant.

A normal Tuesday with the app

07:30

You open the app over morning coffee. Six customers today. First one at 08:00, Volvo XC60, oil change.

09:15

First car is done. Invoice sent by SMS while the customer is still wiping their hands. Next car rolls in. You pull up its previous service in two taps.

12:40

Mati calls. You search 'Mati', find his Golf, see the last service was 8000 km ago. Book the next slot for next Tuesday.

17:50

End of the day. Open the reports. Revenue 840 euro. Six invoices, all paid. Close the app. Go home.

Why we built this

We are not a software house trying to sell you yet another CRM.

Workshop tooling is our craft. We have spent years close to people who fix cars for a living, watching them lose evenings to paperwork, watching big systems fail them because those systems were never built for a one-person shop.

Need for Service Solo Tech is the app we wanted them to have. Every screen is tested on a phone, with one hand, with oily fingers. Nothing in it exists because it looked good in a demo. It exists because someone in a shop said yes, that helps.

Our position

The basic workshop tools should be free.

Schedule, customer history, invoices, reports. These are not premium features. These are the floor.

You should never have to pay 200 euro a month just to send an invoice.

Later, when we ship the things that genuinely save you more time (deeper integrations, smarter automation, advanced reporting), we will charge for those. Never for the floor.

Free access

Drop your email, we send you in.

Free for one-person workshops. Reply usually within a couple of days, from a human who reads your message.

No automated drip. No sales pitch. Just a real reply.

Common questions

Is it really free?

Yes. Need for Service Solo Tech is free for one-person workshops. No card on file, no trial timer, no upsell tricks. We make our money on the team edition for shops that grow past solo. As long as you are running the shop yourself, this version stays free.

Does it work on a phone?

Yes. Phone-first is the whole point. Install once to your home screen and it runs like a native app. Works on Android, iPhone, and any desktop browser. No app store fight.

Can I print or email invoices?

Every invoice is a PDF. Send by SMS, email, or WhatsApp. Or download and print. Your logo, your tax rate, your company on every page.

What about multiple cars per customer?

One customer, many cars. All in one view. Family fleets and small business customers handled out of the box.

Is my data safe?

Your data lives on Supabase in Frankfurt, with daily backups. Only you and the people you invite can see your customers. We never sell or share data.

When you outgrow solo

We have a bigger edition for when you grow.

Need for Service runs bigger shops too. The day you grow past one person (multiple mechanics on the floor, a service writer at the front, parts inventory to track), the team edition is built for that. Same DNA, more seats and roles. Ask us about it when you are ready.
